Coping Strategies To Help You Create Inner Harmony
 
1.   When the children are making you feel stressed and you need to reduce the level of stress and tension that you feel use the following breathing technique


You will need to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth

As you breathe in take slow deep breaths and at the same time push out your stomach muscles

Hold this breath as you count to 3.

Slowly exhale through your mouth pulling in your stomach muscles whilst saying the words calm or peace in your mind.

Repeat the technique 2 to 4 times
This breathing technique may take a few practices to master.

Stress is a part of life and is something that you cant fully avoid.   Being a Parent brings with it tensions and pressures.  
 

The demands placed on the body be it physically emotionally or mentally trigger the stress response also known as the fightflight response.   When you encounter a trigger the stress response is switched on in the body and chemicals are released around the body which gives the body extra resources to prepare it for fight or flight.   
 
Going back to caveman days this stress response was essential to provide extra bodily resources when the cavemen where in dangerous threatening situations such as encountering furious beasts.   The chemicals produced by the body would provide the caveman with either extra strength to fight the beast or extra bodily resources so the caveman could run quicker. <description>Have you ever wondered where Mothers Day originated from Well it dates back to when children were in domestic service and were given one day off a year to visit their Mum.  On their way home they would pick flowers for their Mother.  
 
Later on in History it was Anna Jarvis who campaigned to honour Mothers and Motherhood and the first official Mothers Day was celebrated at the beginning of the 19th century as a tribute to all Mothers as a recognition of all that they do.
